1. The Foreign Ministry will hold the appointment ceremony of the nine members of its third civilian advisory committee on protocols at the Ministry on June 23.

° At the appointment ceremony, Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se will extend appreciation to the advisory committee for offering original advice on ways to refine summit diplomacy protocols and promoting Korean culture through protocol events since its establishment in 2012. He will also ask the members of the third committee to pay attention to and present constructive opinions on the full range of state protocols.

2. The Foreign Ministry formed the first advisory committee in March 2012 to seek advice from civilians on the full range of state protocols in order to enhance the Republic of Korea’s national image through refined protocols and to support diplomatic activities. The members of the third committee will serve one to two years between the years 2017 and 2018.
