1. Bui Quang Vinh, Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam will visit the Republic of Korea on August 23-30 at the invitation of Foreign Minister Kim Sung-Hwan.

2. Minister Vinh’s visit to the ROK aims to strengthen the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries through discussing measures of substantial cooperation in the sectors of development and economy as well as to bolster friendly and cooperative ties.

3. On August 24, Minister Kim Sung-Hwan will have a luncheon meeting with Minister Vinh to exchange opinions on ways to enhance bilateral relations including increasing support for Vietnam’s development cooperation as well as the issues of mutual concerns.

4. During his visit, Minister Vinh will have an in-depth exchange of views regarding cooperation in development and economy with Minister of Strategy and Finance, Minister of Knowledge and Economy, President of Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA), President of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Chairman of Korea Export-Import Bank and Director of Global Green Growth Institute(GGGI). He will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with four institutions such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, KOICA, Korea Development Institute, and GGGI.
