1 Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan and Defense Minister Kim Tae-young will meet with U.S. Secretary 
of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates for a ROK-U.S. Foreign and Defense 
Ministers’ Meeting in Seoul on July 21.

2. In the upcoming Meeting, the two sides will review progress in the ROK-U.S. alliance and explore 
ways for future development on the occasion of the 60th year since the outbreak of the Korean War; 
and have a comprehensive discussion on the North Korean issue and how the two countries can 
work together on regional and global issues.
